Beauty Replenishment

There was a time where I couldn't get enough makeup and I was constantly trying new things but I've calmed down now, I still like to give new products a try but it's few and far between. I went to Ulta the other day and picked up some replacements for products I ran out of and some new ones.

(Left to Right)
Urban Decay De-slick: I just ran out of this after not using it for a few months and I seriously don't know what I did without out it. I love the normal All Nighter setting spray but this one I really love since my face is an oil slick.
Naked Skin Concealer: It might be a might be a big claim but this is hands down the best concealer ever. Really.
Too Faced Born This Way Foundation: I've heard a ridiculous amount of hype behind this product so I thought I'd give it a shot. Now, I'm not really convinced of the hype just yet but I'll know in a couple days.
Smith's Rosebud Salve Balm: Another product that has so much hype around it and with good reason. This stuff rocks.

New In | Florescent Adolescence

I have a thing for flashy shoes so when I found these on the Nike website they screamed my name. I'm on my feet all day at work so these have been a life saver.

Boots of the Month | October

So anyone that knows me knows I have a small obsession with boots (it's concerning actually). So with that being said every month I'm going to put a spotlight on one pair each month (whether it's because they're new, they give of a vibe that fits the month or they're an obsession that month). This month it's the newest edition to the family - the Rae boot from Circus by Sam Edelman, which you can find here.
I'm actually super impressed with these boots; the leather is great and they're super comfortable if you're used to wearing heeled boots.

Style Crush | October

This months style crush goes out to my girl Hanna Beth. So little history lesson for you guys; I've been a fan of hers for so long, it goes back to my wanna be scene days and her actual scene days, it's been years since then (too many to count to be honest) but I still love her and her vintage rock glam style. Here are some of my favorite looks of hers. (I tried to keep them as recent as possible because this girl has had some LOOKS)

(iconic tbh)

Fall Albums | Sept. 2015

I'm obsessed with music, everyone who knows me knows this, so I thought I'd share with you some albums that get me in the fall mood.

What Did You Expect From The Vaccines- The Vaccines: I think I've been listening to this album for probably three falls so far, it's a staple for me. I think because I've been listening to it for so long, it's my staple for fall. Now, this isn't to say that the two newer albums from The Vaccines are any less (they aren't I love them as much as this one).
Favorite Songs: All in White, Norgaard, Blow It Up

Strange Trails - Lord Huron: I found out about Lord Huron when the ACL lineup was released and I became obsessed. In a way this is the musical personification of how fall feels. It's a lot deeper in feeling than summer and spring, the leaves are falling, it feels for rustic and folky, but the sun is still shinning.
Favorite Songs: Fool for Love,

Fire Alarm - Castlecomer: Okay this is totally cheating because it's not an album, it's just a song but such a good song. Listen to this.

Badlands - Halsey: My love for this album is unreal, I think I listened to it everyday when it came out. I'm seriously obsessed. And Halsey is just one bad ass girl and I love it.
Favorite Songs: Drive, New Americana, Coming Down

Pretty. Odd. - Panic! At the Disco: I tried really hard to not put this on here but this is actually my favorite album that exists (next to A Fever) but this album is a staple for me in all seasons but especially fall. There's something about this album that makes me want to cry (hint: it's Ryan Ross).
Favorite Songs: Pas De Cheval, Folkin Around, Mad as Rabbits.

Forcefield - Tokyo Police Club: Okay another album that came out last year, but I listened to this album all fall last year so it obviously reminds me of fall. I seriously love Tokyo Police Club so really anything from them is good.
Favorite Songs: Argentina (parts I,II,III), Toy Guns, Feel the Effect

Fall Inpsiration

Hello hello hello, I'm back and the blog is back with a brand new name and brand new attitude...not really I'm still the same. Fall is fast approaching (not really this is Texas we're talking about people) but I feel like in a sense fall is a time for new beginnings and a fresh start. So what better time to bring this baby back? I thought I'd start things off with an introductory fall post because, you know, why not? Mood boards have been all the rage lately so I decided to throw one together of how I'm feeling towards fall. I have a few other fall posts coming up such as my album list for fall (old and new, mainly old), my fashion picks, and because they're so important to me my fall shoe picks. So without further ado let's get into this.
I don't know if people really ever explain their mood boards but I'm going to hit a few key points.
Penny Lane from Almost Famous: I've been obsessed with the 70s lately so my first thought was Penny Lane.
The Boots: I love boots way too much and these are everything right now.
The Rings: These rings and hands belong to Alessandro Michele and were featured in this months Harper's Bizarre and out of everything in the whole magazine, this picture was the most stunning to me
Pretty Odd Cover: I've been crazy obsessed with Panic! at the Disco again lately and honestly when Pretty. Odd. Came out I didn't like it but coming back years later is my favorite album of theirs.

This Week In Purchases | Jan. 15

Due to a series of unfortunate events (read: funeral) Mary (one of my partners in crime you'll definitely hear about) found ourselves downtown with too much time to spare so we decided to do what we do best; shop. We stopped by Kendra Scott and I picked up a couple things I wanted to show y'all.

I've actually been a Kendra Scott fan (and not just because she's a fellow Austinite) for a while now but I never picked anything just because there was so much but actually going in store I fell in love with so many pieces.

I picked up these black enamel with gunmetal hardware Danielle earrings and I am obsessed. I saw these and right away I knew; I've been such a fan of gun metal hardware lately. These are a bit of a departure from the normal Kendra's that everyone has but the shape is still iconic. It's like basic goes goth and I love it. X

I also picked up this gorgeous necklace, it was actually really hard to pick out which color I wanted but I went with the platinum and gold. This necklace is so well made and has such a good weight to it. I know it's not going to fall apart and the chain won't just randomly break. X
